Boot and Leather (645 Last) The Allegany boot is our newest style and will be built upon our newly developed last: the 645 last. The 645 last is inspired by the classic Munson-style design, which includes a rounder, more voluminous toebox, wider ball and a narrow arch and heel. This model is made with our signature Mahogany leather color, however with a small twist. It is a full vegetable tan and the hides have had extensive tumbling during the tanning process to produce a more rugged appearance. In addition to the appearance, some may find the leather to be a bit more supple and easier to break in. This article of leather is approximately 5/6 ounces in weight and is vegetable tanned leather. Grade Pictures shown were taken in warehouse. Pairs listed have been made from remaining leather of the Tumbled Mahogany production run. These pairs have leather wrinkling in the quarters from pullover and horizontal grain break as a result. There may be slight texture variations, minor scratches or color deviations either being slightly lighter or slightly darker in color. Our build focuses on enhanced breath-ability and shock absorption in a more natural way by using leather components.
