  • This breathable cotton cable knit sweater marries traditional craftsmanship with contemporary fashion.
  • While the art of knitting sweaters traces its roots back to Ancient Egypt, the history of the cable knit sweater is a more recent tale, originating less than 150 years ago in the Aran Islands' fishing communities, off Ireland's rugged west coast.
  • Our cable-knit sweater pays homage to these origins, where seafaring women first crafted them to keep fishermen warm at sea.
  • More than just a piece of clothing, these sweaters were a labor of love and necessity, with all-over patterns designed to provide extra warmth and a touch of familial identity, as each family developed its unique pattern.
