- Woven in Nishiwaki City, Hyogo Prefecture, one of Japan’s leading cotton-textile regions.
- Thanks to its rich natural environment and skilled craftsmanship, the fabric achieves both immediate suppleness when worn and a beautiful, fluid drape.
- Fabric
- Made from 100s two-ply broadcloth (poplin), woven at an ideal balance of 144 warp threads × 76 weft threads.
- Uses the traditional yarn-dyed method, a hallmark of fabrics historically known as Banshu-ori, named after the former Harima region during the Meiji era.
- Unlike piece-dyed fabrics, yarn-dyed weaving requires more time and cost, but results in subtle color depth, refined patterns, and a richer visual expression.
