- Description
- The iconic J043 is now
- made in a 400gsm Brushed Moleskin, intended for us in cold to mild weather.
- The Moleskin fabric is extremely soft and comfortable, and at the same time offers extreme durability.
- Based on a vintage original 1943 U.S.
- Navy Type N-3 Jacket from our archive, the J043 is the type of jacket you'll have for life.
- We've taken the original collar shape and emphasized it's subtle curved point, as well as redesigning the front panels so they naturally roll out like a tailored jacket lapel.
- The J043 is cut unlined and slightly oversized with an extended shoulder-line to reflect it's military roots.
- The three exterior pockets are the same size and shape of the original 1943 version, which happens to be the same "wine glass" shape used in Neapolitan tailoring.
- For the hardware we've chosen Japanese-made metal buttons due to their clean look and long-lasting nature.
- As for the fabric, we've selected a heavy 400gsm British Moleskin with a brushed surface.
- It's perfect for the cooler months (5C - 25C) and true to the Informale approach will break in beautifully and develop character and patina over time.
