One of three textile prints in our collaboration with the estate of renowned architect and designer Alexander Girard, Flores (1960) embodies Girard’s masterful use of color and playful illustrative style.
This print was originally developed by Girard during his tenure as the Head of Fabric and Textile Division at Herman Miller and has been used in countless applications from upholstery to wallpaper.
To continue Girard’s emphasis of quality craftsmanship, we had Flores meticulously reengineered by one of our Italian partner mills on a summer-weight 100% cotton poplin.
Each color was matched to their original pantones and extra care was taken to ensure pigments hold fast and resist bleeding.
