Virgil No. 3 Shawl Collar Tuxedo in Black Wool with Silk Grosgrain Trim

This tuxedo is the black-tie and shawl-collared version of our classic Virgil suit in a refined wool plainweave from England with silk grosgrain trim. The No. 3 make has full canvas construction — the sine qua non of tailoring — with a special, structured 3-layer canvas that'll mold and meld to your body over time. While the jacket lacks the 3-roll-2 front and notched lapels of our other Virgil jackets, it has the same classically American-by-way-of-Italy spirit with a natural shoulder, a shorter body, and no front darts. Think old-school 'sack suit,' but sexier. (Or in this case, 'sack tux'?) The trousers are cut in our original plain-front shape to complement the jacket, with side-adjuster tabs at the waist and a grosgrain stripe down the sides.
