Kincaid No 4 Jacket In Cashmere Plainweave
Cashmere in the spring? Believe it — this fiber has excellent temperature-regulating properties, and the light weight of this particular plainweave makes it wearable almost twelve months a year. In fact, we first ran this fabric years ago, and that versatility (plus a nudge from a friend) convinced us to bring it back. This jacket is our No. 4 make — almost fully handmade — which means more time passing through our Neapolitan tailors' hands. In fact, each piece requires a full ten hours’ worth of tailoring before it leaves the workshop. The shoulder, lining, darts, buttonholes, buttons, and several other elements are sewn by hand, and you can feel it when you put it on. It’s almost like the seams move with you. We built the Kincaid model with a soft (read: natural) shoulder, a 2-button front, and a shorter, darted body with some tracing to it, for a fit that's slimmish but never skinny. And while we always go for an American-Italian blend, the cut of this one leans a bit more sartoria than the rest. But just like all of our jackets, it's designed to take you from Mississippi to Milan, and back again, without looking out of place.
