One of the dumbest things I ever learned on menswear forums was that flannel shall always be woolen and that worsted flannel was useless. Once I got my first Fox worsted flannel suit and started wearing it all the time, I happily unlearned that and realized how good this fabric is. Less stuffy and hot-wearing as a heavy woolen, but with a matt finish that cannot be found in classic worsteds, it became my goldilocks fabric for fall winter suits.
