SIZING/FIT Please refer to sizing chart to determine which size works for you. For a traditional denim overalls fit - i.e. comfortable silhouette typical of vintage workwear - we recommend opting for the same waist size as our Californian blue jeans. CARE Turn inside-out. This fabric will develop attractive patina over time, according to the owner’s activities, frequency of wear and laundering choices. STORY The term “Placer” comes from a simple technique of extracting gold from river beds, popular during the 1848 California Gold Rush. Gold is heavier than rocks, so the precious metal was sifted twirling sand/gravels/water by a single individual (sometimes with one partner) in a rudimentary prospector’s pan. Unlike hard rock mining, placer mining required no machinery, just hard work and optimism.
