Wool Flannel Jacket
This navy flannel jacket is a revival of a 1980s archive from Miyuki Keori. The fabric used is from a vintage archive, woven slowly using the rare Shonheru loom, one of the few remaining in the world. While modern looms spin at 400 rotations per minute, the Shonheru operates at a slower speed, launching the shuttle only 80 times per minute, or 1/5 of that rate. The result is a durable fabric with a crisp feel and a unique texture, which is soft and airy. Additionally, instead of the synthetic soaps commonly used today, a traditional washing process using natural soap brings out the wool’s natural softness and texture. This jacket can be styled in a variety of ways, from a classic dress look with wool trousers to a layered outfit with knitwear. Miyuki Keori Co., Ltd. With over 100 years of history, Miyuki Keori is a textile manufacturer specializing in men's fabrics. Known for the stable quality and functional processing of Japanese-made textiles, the company also excels in creating fabrics with a vintage, characterful charm. Their commitment to natural textures is evident in their use of natural soap, high-quality soft water from the Suzuka mountain range, and wooden "washing poles" hand-carved by master carpenters. These elements work together to enhance the wool’s natural qualities, resulting in a fabric with a rich, natural feel.
