The Classic Driving Loafer
Our Barclay bit driving loafer hits the right balance of a classic driving loafer silhouette paired with oversized nubs for increased durability.
The bit loafer style is more assertive than its penny loafer brethren.
The gold bit on the vamp dresses the shoe up slightly while still allowing the Barclay to maintain its casual and classic aesthetic.
We opted to forgo the clunky rubber soles that are so often seen on 'driving' loafers these days and instead opted for the far more traditional rubber nub sole.
The resulting feel when wearing our drivers is sublime - each nub translates the feel of the road or path which you drive or walk through to your foot.
A single piece of handsome suede, full-grain or embossed alligator leather envelops the foot from the ground up, resulting in unmatched suppleness and pliability.
The Alfred is as at home when worn with shorts and a t-shirt on the beach and boardwalk as it is when worn with a sport coat and trousers in the office.
And yes, they are great for driving.

Our Barclay bit driving loafer only comes in whole sizes.
If you wear a half size we recommend you opt for the next whole site up (e.g., if you wear a 10.5 then order an 11.0).
We use US sizes, and our loafers fit true to size compared to most other US-sized dress shoes.
Our shoes are sized as a D width.
Those with wider feet (E or EE) should consider going up half a size.
