NAF 1168 AVIATOR AND GROUND CREW JACKET/ FACTORY LEGACY This year, GIZEMO presents the classic NAF1168 navy alpaca wool jacket as part of its "Authentic Reproduction" series. For us, "authentic reproduction" goes beyond replicating the original contractor's name or simply changing labels—it represents a more rigorous and extreme dedication to restoration, capturing not only the form but also the soul of the original. In this NAF1168 reproduction, we have refined multiple details: The Jungle Cloth fabric has been softened, and the navy color recalibrated to closely match the original vintage quality. The cut has been optimized with increased underarm room for better mobility, a slightly tapered waist for a natural silhouette, and an elongated front placket. After a year of meticulous adjustments, the wool ribbing achieves an optimal balance between authenticity and elasticity, restoring the distinctive raised texture of that era. A Talon M41 aluminum-tooth zipper identical to the original is used, and the label follows authentic reproduction standards. From the finished product, these refined details come together seamlessly—approaching what we consider perfection.
