In our view, "authentic reproduction" goes beyond simply replicating the original contractor's name or switching labels—it embodies a more rigorous and meticulous approach to restoration, capturing not only the form but also the spirit of the original. In this authentic reproduction of the B-15A, we have refined several key details: The sateen fabric has been softened, and the olive green hue recalibrated to better match the original wartime texture. The arm patch has been omitted. After a year of refinement, the wool ribbing now achieves an optimal balance between authenticity and elasticity, restoring the distinctive raised texture of that era. The hem is slightly tapered, and the zipper placket lengthened. A Conmar blackened zipper pull, consistent with the original, is used. The embroidered label replicates the AERO factory version, in line with authentic reproduction standards. From the final product, these nuanced adjustments come together seamlessly—resulting in what we consider a near-perfect rendition.
