Lightweight, vibrant, and heavily textured, our Blue Japanese Dobby is our latest interpretation of a cabana-stripe fabric.
And although colorful, beachy stripes set the tone for this style, its true magic is within its weave.
Specifically, a complex array of weave techniques not only create each stripe, they reinforce wearability and create one of the most interesting textures we have ever encountered.
Herringbone twill, breathable open weaves, tightly woven plain weaves, and "floating" stitches all contribute to this fabric.
Twill and plain weaves create strength while the open weave and "floats" add breathability.
And because this style is incredibly lightweight, our Japanese partner mill blended cotton with just 1% of polyester in the warp threads to add just enough stretch to prevent tears during wear.
So although this style is our lightest of the season, it's not compromised by delicacy.
