Archive Indian Madras
A Gitman Vintage spring/summer collection is never complete without archival Madras fabrics. This style, however, is remade from a fabric archived at our partner mill in Chennai (formerly Madras), India. Although we don't know the exact year that this fabric was originally introduced, we've been told it dates to the late 70's. Just like the original fabric, this style is completely handwoven with hand-dyed yarns. Rich earth tones lend a distinctly vintage appearance to the style, hinting at the decade in which it was originally released.
