These 1950s overalls were equipped with a "safe deposit pocket," which was applied for on November 24, 1936, and patented on April 18, 1939, but was only put to practical use after the war. The large pocket is located inside the zipper in the center of the bib, and the advertisements at the time touted that it "reduces damage and loss of stored items, and protects them from dirt." These low-back overalls have suspenders with elastic parts woven into the back straps, making them specially designed for ease of movement.
