One Ear Brand The Brand Jomon Bandana

The One Ear Brand revisits Camel Brand, a now-defunct sub-label of Elephant Brand dating back to the 1930s and 40s. Produced in small numbers, these bandannas were known for their modest scale and simple, often floral designs, and have since become prized pieces among fast-colour bandanna collectors. This revival brings the name back into circulation with a considered approach. Each piece is made using One Ear Brand’s original 50 x 50 cm selvedge fabric, printed with the same care and precision as the mainline collection. While smaller in format than usual, the decision reflects a desire to faithfully reintroduce these rare historical designs for a new audience. Alongside the bandannas, the Camel Brand identity has been thoughtfully reimagined. With no surviving original print of the label, Satoshi Kaga was invited to create a reproduction based on available references, resulting in a mark that feels true to its origins. Produced and designed by One Ear Brand, this release marks the return of a forgotten chapter in bandanna history, with future iterations set to appear under Red Camel and Blue Camel.
