Japanese Fabric The BOSTON shirt is inspired by classic round-collar shirts, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens. Its single chest pocket and relaxed proportions create a soft volume, designed to move naturally with the body. Produced in a high-quality Japanese fabric, known in Italy since the 1980s as “pelle d’uovo” (literally “eggshell”), a term used to describe a smooth, refined surface reminiscent of the inside of an eggshell. This fabric offers a remarkable hand feel: smooth, clean, with a subtle crispness that provides structure without stiffness. The rounded collar adds a distinctive character. We like to wear it slightly open, sometimes even with a tie, in a relaxed way, somewhere between an academic attitude and an artist’s approach.
