Yarn handspun on a multi-spindle charkha, and woven on a handloom, is also called ‘khadi’. The fabric is handwoven on a pit loom in Bengal. Bandhani is a traditional tie and dye technique done in India, practiced for generations. Black colour is achieved using ferrous and tamarind seed solution.
