DESCRIPTION
- We may not like to make one-to-one reproductions of vintage garments, but we're big fans of bringing old fabrics back to life.
- Meet Aertex - originally marketed as the world's first performance fabric, developed for the British Military back during WWII.
- The open weave airiness paired with the innate structure of the fabric makes this an easy choice for a warm-weather shirt - it's essentially a woven cotton mesh.
- We recreated this fabric with one of our partnering mills in Japan, where we often find ourselves looking if we are trying to revive old military cloth.
- A half zip shirt felt like the only suitable option for this fabric.
- This is one of those shirts that, while you can zip it up all the way, you really never should.
- We know one thing - we're gonna be wearing this thing fully opened all summer long.
