DESCRIPTION
  • This Derby Shoe is made with Blake stitching, also known as through-and-through stitching.
  • It was in 1858 that shoemaker Leeman Reed Blake, a young employee of sewing machine manufacturer Singer, invented this technique, which adds flexibility and lightness to the shoe.
  • Paraboot makes its shoes in Spain, utilizing local craftsmen and traditional techniques.
  • It’s a 4th-generation business founded in France by Rémy Richard.
  • The name is a mashup of “Para” (the port they sourced their latex from) and the American “boot” that inspired Rémy early on.
