The design is based on the A-1 type jacket adopted by the US Army Air Corps in the 1920s.
The design predates the practical application of zippers, with buttons on the front, giving it a classic look.
The leather used is processed by a tannery specializing in horsehide, utilizing the qualities of steerhide while applying an aniline dye finish to achieve the fine grain and translucent coloration characteristic of horsehide.
The leather thickness is approximately 1.5 mm, and engraved nut buttons are used to enhance the vintage feel.
