- For this tie we used a shantung silk with a special finish that makes the fabric much softer than our usual, rather stiff shantung.
- It ties very easily and creates a great dimple.Made from rawer, less processed yarns, this rougher, characteristically slubby cloth offers an unmistakable character and look.
- Traditionally used for summer ties, technically nothing speaks against wearing it year-round.
- Its slightly irregular appearance makes it always a bit more casual than a fine grenadine, printed silk with small patterns, or a simple twill.
- Ideal for combinations with classic summer clothes like hopsack, solaro or linen.
- In the heart of the Italian silk industry, Como, lies one of the oldest silk weavers in Europe.
- Founded in mid-19th-century, at first as a supplier of silk for furnishings and clothing, they began to make silk for ties when it took its modern shape at the beginning of the 20th century.
