  • "Moroccan raffia shoes just ooze old Hollywood, that retro Riviera style that artisans in Essaouira have been making for decades.
  • They've worked with us over the years to make a few modifications in their design to fit our vision, like a hard sole, rounded toe, and slotted strap added across the vamp to mimic the penny loafers we're usually wearing.
  • It takes a day for a young maker to make just one pair of shoes, half a day for an experienced one.

  • Each shoe is woven and made by hand so each is unique and has differences and idiosyncrasies
  • Raffia harvested from Madagascar palm trees; shoes entirely hand
  • made in Essaouira, Morocco

  • Low profile and low volume shoe; we recommend taking a size up from your normal EU size, or more for those with high instep
