- コットンとリネンの混紡糸で製織したファブリックでニューメディカルシャツを仕立てました。 混紡糸（こんぼうし）とは、毛羽のような短繊維の段階で、コットンと短繊維のそれを混ぜ合わせて一本の糸に撚糸したもの。数ミリの短繊維が混じりあっています。所謂、「綿麻の糸」という訳ですが、同じ混率でも設計によってその肌触りや風合いは違ったものになります。混紡（こんぼう）と交織（こうしょく）です。交織はタテ糸かヨコ糸のどちらかが、綿、もう一方が麻糸、という構造です。混紡と交織の違いはちょっと想像しずらいかもしれませんが、「色」に置き換えるとわかりやすいかもしれません。綿を白、麻を赤、とした場合、混紡糸は両者が数ミリのミクロな毛羽の状態で混じりあって糸になっているので、糸自体はピンクに見えます。交織の方は、白の糸と赤の糸が格子状に組み合わさっているので、それぞれの色がはっきりと認識できます。
