  • コットンキャンディウールハイネック。この新しい編地を構成する糸は特殊なコットンとウールの壁糸（かべ糸）。細い芯糸に太いらせん状の糸が巻き付きカバーしています。壁糸の名前に由来は民家などの土壁に由来します。伝統的な日本家屋の壁は柱と柱の間に割った竹を格子状に組み、それに荒縄を巻き付ける事で竹の格子の隙間を埋め平面としてのボリュームを確保します。その上に藁などと土を混ぜたものを塗り付けて壁と成します。壁糸はこの竹と荒縄の構造がその名の由来と言う訳です。 このような成り立ちに因り、コットンとウールは、混紡糸や交織にはない、独特のタッチが生じます。
