Named after the Japanese word for sludge, slime, or smog, Hedorah™ is the infamous Smog Monster first introduced in the 1971 cult classic Godzilla vs.
Hedorah.
Unlike any other kaiju, Hedorah™ represents the horrors of urban pollution and toxic waste, a living embodiment of industrial decay.
This jean draws directly from that dark iconography.
Hedorah™’s grotesque, evolving forms, polluted atmosphere, and deeply unsettling presence are translated into denim, resulting in one of the most visually striking and unconventional antagonists in the Godzilla universe.
For this release, we selected a 15oz slubby black on black unsanforized Japanese selvedge denim to echo the Smog Monster itself.
Dense, irregular, and heavy with character, the fabric features pronounced slubs and a deep, polluted black tone that reveals deeper texture and contrast with wear.
This is the smallest production run of all Godzilla® jeans, making it the most limited release in the collection.
