- Derived from acacia trees, cutch has been used as a dyestuff in its native regions of India, Myanmar, Indonesia, and Peru for generations.
- Renowned for its color-fastness and subtle yet bright cast, cutch creates natural hues of cinnamon, clove, or nutmeg.
- The addition of iron to the cutch bath darkens the color to a deep chocolate.
