DESCRIPTION
  • This navy flannel jacket is a revival of a 1980s archive from Miyuki Keori.
  • The fabric used is from a vintage archive, woven slowly using the rare Shonheru loom, one of the few remaining in the world.
  • While modern looms spin at 400 rotations per minute, the Shonheru operates at a slower speed, launching the shuttle only 80 times per minute, or 1/5 of that rate.
  • The result is a durable fabric with a crisp feel and a unique texture, which is soft and airy.
  • Additionally, instead of the synthetic soaps commonly used today, a traditional washing process using natural soap brings out the wool’s natural softness and texture.
  • This jacket can be styled in a variety of ways, from a classic dress look with wool trousers to a layered outfit with knitwear.
