DESCRIPTION
- Kato’s respect for denim reaches back decades.
- Our years of experience and research resulted in our own version of the sought after denim of the 70s.
- This fabric has been crafted with meticulous precision to replicate the uniform texture of the faded vintage denim collected for the Kato archives.
- To make this a timeless pair of jeans, we chose our straight cut, “The Hammer” and the modern slim cut “The Pen”.
- The 12.5 ounce, 100% cotton denim does not have stretch but it will break in and mold to you, making it a pair you will want to wear for years.
- We wanted these jeans to be vintage down to the core details, so we introduced a button fly, using donut style laurel leaf buttons, which have been acid dyed to give them an authentic aged look.
- We also added a pop of color with a red leather patch, our own twist on the original.
- We are offering several versions of the Classic Slub Denim that represent different stages of aging.
- This wash reproduces the look of a pair of jeans that have been worn for many years with frequent washing.
- Usually, when vintage jeans are this faded, they have holes in the knees and are close to falling apart.
- This pair is only just getting started and has many years of wear to come.
