1st Fatigue Jungle Jacket

DESCRIPTION
  • The Jungle Jacket was introduced in the early 1960s as a tropical combat uniform in response to the Vietnam War and continued to be used as standard issue in the United States for about 10 years after several updates.
  • The first generation Jungle Jacket was manufactured in 1963 and was made of 55 oz cotton poplin fabric, mostly in QG-107 color.
  • The most distinctive feature was the "exposed" buttons on the top pocket cover.
  • The first generation Jungle Jacket had epaulettes, an adjustment buckle at the waist, and a separate placket inside the door.
