  • The Grove Desert Shoe is a four-eyelet design with derby lace-up construction and a natural crepe which is extremely hardwearing and also lightweight and very comfortable.
  • The upper is made from rich Chromexcel leather from the world-famous Horween tannery in Chicago USA, known for their extremely high-quality materials.
  • Internally the boot is unlined as the leather upper is self-backed which increases wearer comfort.
  • The footbed is traditionally half-lined with natural leather and a soft, cushioned heel pad.
  • The Grove Desert Shoe goes through several complex and skilled processes before completion and none more important than the stitchdown welting stage.
  • This process uses a Number 10 sole stitcher - an integral machine used in making traditional Northampton shoes and boots.
  • Furthermore, this provides the bold stitching used to secure the natural crepe sole and the technique also ensures the shoes are strong and flexible.
