DESCRIPTION
  • M-51パーカーは第二次大戦から発展してきたプルオーバー型のM-48パーカーを進化させたもので、朝鮮動乱の寒冷地において主に米陸軍将兵に支給された。この戦地は米軍がかつて経験した事の無い寒冷地であることから、通常の装備の上から着用するレイヤー（重ね着）システムが採用された。最初期型（1951年）のシェルは厚手のコットンサテン地であったが、1952年以降のモデルでは、コストの見直しや軽量化を図って、コットンナイロンのオックスフォード地に変更されている。袖口は、密封性を高めるためのラバーストラップアジャスターベルトが内蔵され、ポケットの袋地には保温性のあるウール素材が使用されている。 The M-51 parka is an updated version of the M-48 pullover parka that had evolved since World War II.

  • The cuff has a rubber strap adjuster belt to better keep out the cold.
